This replica USAP parka patch mirrors the design worn by scientists and researchers at the South Pole, McMurdo Station, and other Antarctic bases. Traditionally placed on the breast pocket of official “Big Red” parkas and jackets, it represents the legacy of those who’ve braved the world’s harshest conditions.
The patch proudly displays the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) logo, featuring an outline of Antarctica with meridians converging on the South Pole. Interestingly, the USAP logo design later inspired Canada Goose to create their “Arctic Program” patch, seen on their popular civilian parkas.

This website sells parkas, clothing, and gear which have been retired from the United States Antarctic Program. All have seen service in one or more of the three American Antarctic research stations, unless specified otherwise in the product’s description. As such, they will show some degree of wear/tear/use.
