This commemorative patch was sold in the 2013 / 2014 year at the commissary shops at the US Antarctic Program research bases at the South Pole and McMurdo Station, before being returned to the United States as surplus. These authentic patches are new old stock, in brand new condition despite the fact that each one spent years stored in Antarctic bases at McMurdo Station and the South Pole. We have a limited number of these patches, which are surplus stock from the US Antarctic Program. When they’re gone, there won’t be any more, ever!
The outline of the Antarctic continent is in the center of the patch, lacking the meridians that are present in both the modern and vintage patch designs. Instead, a sun/star shape surrounds the continent.

Shipping is available to the USA, Canada, Europe, and Oceania. We will ship to other countries on request. Buyers are responsible for any import taxes and fees.
Returns
All sales should be considered final.
Depending on the circumstances, we may consider returns from within the United States on a case-by-case basis. Due to the nature of our inventory, we do not allow international returns or exchanges.

This website sells parkas, clothing, and gear which have been retired from the United States Antarctic Program. All have seen service in one or more of the three American Antarctic research stations, unless specified otherwise in the product’s description. As such, they will show some degree of wear/tear/use.
