Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) gear is provided to participants in the United States Antarctic Program (USAP), including Carhartt jackets. The highly insulated Carhartt overalls and jackets are a popular choice among outdoor workers in Antarctica, especially since the “Big Red” parkas can feel bulky and overly warm during the summer season. The jackets, often issued as work-wear, feature arctic quilt lining designed to offer comfort in cold environments.
Condition Description:
These jackets & overalls are in usable/wearable condition but will show wear and tear due to heavy use in Antarctica. Some may have very small holes in sleeves, pockets, or lining. All will show wear like field patches, fading, staining, paint spots, missing zipper pulls, etc. Most will have the size written on the breast in black sharpie. They may need to be washed/cleaned after purchase.
All items are 100% wearable and functional.

Shipping is available to the USA, Canada, Europe, and Oceania. We will ship to other countries on request. Buyers are responsible for any import taxes and fees.
Returns
All sales should be considered final.
Depending on the circumstances, we may consider returns from within the United States on a case-by-case basis. Due to the nature of our inventory, we do not allow international returns or exchanges.

All have seen service in one or more of the three American Antarctic research stations, unless specified otherwise in the product’s description. As such, they will show some degree of wear/tear/use.
