This Canada Goose parka entered service in 2003. This parka shows a very large repair, stretching from the back of the right shoulder down to the center of the parka’s back. There are also a few other visible, minor repairs: one on the parka’s back and another on one of the front, right pockets. Apart from these repairs, the parka is in excellent condition, and would have been classified as such if not for the repairs. It shows very minor UV fading and no visible staining.
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
