This Snow Goose parka entered service in 1992. The hood ruff is extremely damaged and needs to be replaced. The parka shows several small repairs, on the back and below the front bottom right pocket. There is one large, long repair beside the Velcro for the zipper cover, but this repair is not visible when the parka is being worn. The reflector and the pen pocket on the left arm both show some heavy wear. The parka is lightly faded and moderately stained throughout.
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
This parka’s USAP serial number is: 92M61
