Product Description
Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) gear, including Carhartt jackets and overalls, is issued to participants in the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). These insulated overalls are commonly used by USAP support and fuel crews.
Many of these overalls are vintage, with tags that are heavily faded, making it difficult to distinguish between the R03 and R02 models. As a result, we are offering them under a single listing. Each pair of these Carhartts represents a unique piece of Antarctic history, carrying its own story!
Visit the Carhartt website to view their size chart.
If you would like to see pictures of a specific pair of overalls before purchase, or if you would like to make a request as to the type of damage on the overalls you’d like to recieve, don’t hesitate to reach out via our contact page. We will do the best we can to assist you.
Condition Description:
These overalls show damage which will need to be repaired before they can be used/worn. This damage includes tears or holes in the outer lining, torn out pockets, etc. The most common damage to these overalls are tears along seams. No overalls sold under this listing will be damaged to the extent that it requires more than reasonably simple repairs.
In addition to the damage, the overalls will show wear and tear, due to heavy use in Antarctica. Some may have field patches, paint spots, missing zipper pulls, etc. All will show some level of staining and fading. Most will have the size written on one of the breast pockets in black sharpie. They will need to be washed/cleaned after purchase.
