Product Description
This vintage Snow Goose parka entered service in 1998. There was originally a large, repair on the back of the hood, which looks as though it was made using a combination of epoxy and field patches. We removed the field patches and repaired the damage, but some of the epoxy residue remains, meaning the repair is more visible than it would otherwise be. The parka is otherwise in good condition.
There are also several other very small repairs on the front of the parka. The sleeves show minor staining, and the parka in general shows very minor fading.
The refurbishment of this parka includes (but is not limited to):
- Seam repair
- Removal & repair of field patches
- Fixing down reflector
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
This parka’s USAP serial number is: 98S037
